This very intense 2 day hands-on workshop course with an optional 1 day of Live Surgery treating patients where YOU do the surgery and Dr. Gluckman mentors you (only attendees with a Texas Dental License), is designed to ADVANCE your capability with the most sophisticated methods of immediate implant placement, bone plate augmentation, advanced soft tissue methods and more that Dr. Gluckman has helped pioneer.

It is packed with very detailed workshops and lectures covering topics such as Partial Extraction Therapies, Khoury Bone Blocks, Soft Tissue Tunnel Technique, Botiss Bone Plates, working with Autogenous bone and creating A-PRF, I-PRF.

For the doctors who take the opportunity to attend the 3rd day of the course, you can solidify the techniques learned in the workshops on patients provided and BE MENTORED by Dr. Gluckman. This surgical day, hosted by Dr. Larry H. Lindsay, will be spent applying the concepts and techniques treating patients learned day 1 and 2.

Course Instructor

Howard Gluckman BDS, MChD

Dr Gluckman completed his dental training at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1990. After spending a number of years in a general practice he completed a 4-year full time degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontics at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, which he completed with distinction (cum Laude) in 1998. He was intimately involved in the development of the postgraduate diploma in Implantology at both the University of Stellenbosch and later at the University of Western Cape.

He is currently in full time private practice in Cape Town. He is the director of the Implant and Aesthetic Academy, which is a private post graduate training facility in South Africa currently providing a complete postgraduate training program in Implantology in South Africa. He has been involved in Implantology training for 20 years.

The Academy is recognized by The University of Frankfurt as well as Stoneybrook University and Dentalxp as an accredited training facility for their online externship certificate program. Dr Gluckman was the author of a monthly Implantology corner for the South African Dental Journal and is the immediate past president of the South African Society for Dental Implantology and on the board of the Southern African Association of Osseointegration (SAAO). He has served as the secretary of the South African Society of Periodontics. He has lectured extensively internationally and nationally and is a member of Dentsply/Friadent’s Master Speakers Program. He is on the experts panel of the international educational website Dentalxp and is on the Dentalxp scientific board. He is on the Editorial board of the South African Dental Journal as well as the Indian Journal of Prosthodontics. He is an associate of the College of Medicine and Dentistry of South Africa.

His special interests are immediate implant placement/immediate load, soft tissue aesthetics and periodontal plastic surgery, autogenous bone augmentation especially bone harvested from the palate and three-dimensional bone augmentation.

Course Host

Larry H. Lindsay, DDS

Dr. Larry H. Lindsay has practiced cosmetic and general dentistry for 34 years. After graduating from Southwestern University (1973), he attended the University of Texas at Austin Pharmacy School. After graduating from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston (1979), he established a successful general dentistry practice in Ouray, Colorado for 3 years, returning to his hometown of Austin, Texas in 1982 where he has been practicing ever since.

Dr. Lindsay has rigorously expanded his dental skills and knowledge the past 35 years, studying advanced restorative techniques, implant surgery, and restoration. He has completed more than 1000 hours of specialty training in implant surgery and restoration. Dr. Lindsay is a graduate of the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education (FACE) two- year study program in San Francisco on advanced restorative dentistry. He has been restoring implants for more than 30 years and has been placing implants for over 15 years. Dr. Lindsay also serves as a Course Mentor for Dr. Gordon Christensen’s Practical Clinical Courses taught to dentists from around the world at his training center in Provo, Utah. Furthermore, he is a product evaluator for Clinician Reports. Dr. Lindsay is also licensed to administer conscious sedation.

Dr. Lindsay is also teaching and facilitating the Live Dental Implant Surgery program with the Implant Know-How Team in Austin Tx since 2013.
